Our in-barn training packages include lessons, but we are also available for haul-in lessons if that is your interest (all horses must be up to date on vaccinations, especially flu/rhino). We can assist in any issues you may be concerned with – ground manners, trailering, behavioral, riding, horsemanship, show preparation, etc.

As versatility has always been a very important part of our program, we are proud to offer a variety of classes for our boarders and clients. These popular weekly classes are held in small groups and include lectures, demos and work sessions in Trail/Ranch, Beginner Dressage, Intermediate Dressage, and Developing the Next Lesson Horse (with horses adopted by STC from This Old Horse).

We are humbled to share this article that is so thoughtfully and eloquently written.  Not only are we thrilled that the author was happy with what she learned and took home from her lessons with us, but we also love her story – and especially her endless patience, dedication and desire to work and learn WITH her horses.  NOTE: We do not represent the Ecole de Légèreté.

Lesson Horses

Whether you are looking to learn what our program is all about, to brush up on your skills and techniques (dressage, western, trail, groundwork, etc), or to spend some horse time, we have very versatile lesson horses available to help you out! All of our lesson horses have been involved in our program for many years and remain in consistent training with us. They include Pete and Obie (off-the-track Thoroughbreds), Remmie (a Holsteiner we brought from 2nd Level to Intermediare I), Luke (a Palomino Quarter Horse), and Ryon and Kaluah (Arabians/Half-Arabians – former National Top Tens and/or National Champions in dressage).
